Mine is fine I just tried filling in history on some seldom used pairs and it worked fine. We might be on different servers. I took a SS of the server shown in tools/options/server on my platform.

I tested it and it works for me. You don't need to open it. Try saving it to the indicators folder and then re-start the MT4 platform.
