PiptheRipper replied Dec 12, 2010Coming back to questions you asked earlier NY about Trends and ranges. You are right, it is said that price only trends 25% of the time. That is just one more bogus stat we should ignore. It depends how you perceive it. It might be ranging on the ...

PiptheRipper replied Dec 9, 2010I agree!
Smart money create the momentum. IMO the easiest way to spot the direction and follow with the momentum is by determining the current trend. I'm interested to see what else we can use to determine momentum or when it's fading.Ok, Lets do it - Developing a Highly Profitable System

PiptheRipper replied Dec 9, 2010My opinion on fundamentals. I trade the higher TF's. I look at the longer term view, (A few days or even a week or two) so any news event doesn't affect my trade plan. This way I don't have to worry about the news everyday. I just recap what ...

PiptheRipper replied Dec 7, 2010I think that will do more harm than good. If the correlation is high between 2 pairs, then like abelfxtrader said, both will most likely give you false signals and it won't be a reliable filter. I also think we might miss out on some good trades. If ...

PiptheRipper replied Dec 6, 2010For me it depends on the size of the range. If it is fairly large (more than 400 pips) then a range becomes easy to trade. Only enter at the top and bottom of the range, wait until it gets to the other side and exit. Repeat process.

PiptheRipper replied Dec 6, 2010Hey NY. Glad to see Phase 1 has started. The following is my guideline in its most basic form: 1. Identify the trends. It's always so easy to say, "follow the trend", but there will most likely be more than one trend. Trend in a trend. Determine the ...
