I know of one succesful manual system that was used at CMS, the guy must have sold alot of ebooks because it was getting harder and harder to trade till it was not profitible with them so they switched to ECN and wow it works again!

Yup if you trade the longer timeframes you should not need any indicator to tell you the trend. On 5 min or 15 min a simple MA can save you switching between tf's.

Cross of EMA 1 and EMA 5 on daily can be good infact it's another trading system at babypips. But you don't need it, use a long term MA does the same thing and trade with the mini trends
