I don't know what platforms you've been using, but I find the EFX Navigator very good. It takes a little getting used to, but it works better than some others. If you're talking about EFX Pro, then that's a different story. I don't like the Pro at ...

If you read back in this thread you'll see that Justin said they can't use MetaTrader because it's set up for a Dealing Desk, and EFX is an ECN with no dealing desk.

MetaTrader = Dealing Desk?
- In2Blues replied Jan 1, 2007
Justin pointed out (in the EFX thread) that they can't work with MetaTrader because it's set up for dealing desk brokers. There's further proof right there. I'm new to all this (have been reading a lot) and use MetaTrader for their charts. I don't ...
MetaTrader = Dealing Desk?

The NEXTT PRO doesn't look like MetaTrader (that's the one shown on the page that the link points to) but their NEXTT Trading Terminal is definitely MetaTrader. Since, as Justin pointed out in the EFX thread, MetaTrader is set up for dealing desks, ...

When is it safe to trade full time?

Your point is well taken. My comment was not meant to embrace every strategy in every field, but simply addressing the specifics of this thread, which started out mentioning a 32 pip spread with a Forex broker. I was speaking generally, as most of ...

I agree with your assessment. If a strategy can have your profits wiped out with the spread, then there's something wrong with the strategy. At the same time, we must take spreads into account, because the higher the spread, the more the pair has to ...

I would say it depends on whether or not you can afford to lose the money if the market has a major gap over the weekend. If you can, then leave your positions open. If you can't, then close them to be safe, and re-open them again on Monday if ...
To hold or not to hold trade during week-end?
- In2Blues replied Dec 16, 2006
Absolutely right. Of course, closing your positions on Friday is discretionary, but it is a safeguard. Many people leave their positions open, too. It all depends on whether you can afford to lose the money if a major gap occurs over the weekend. I ...

Thanks for the reply, Justin. I completely understand why you're not using MT4. I'm only demoing your system right now, but I love it and wouldn't want to lose what you offer. The advantage to me of MT4 is strictly for the charts and indicators. I ...
