harvest3r replied Apr 1, 2011Volatility is king. That's the main food for my strategy. NFP is the monthly banquet. The only disgusting thing is... I missed a long at 1412.5 by $0.15. Oh, how I hate it!
I could have closed everything with profit at 1418. Now I have to ...XAU/USD & XAG/USD - Gold & Silver Traders Thread

. First because I have only 6 months as a trader, so I miss the experience to tell you anything. Second because I don't trade based on any kind of prediction, technical or fundamental analysis. Third because I rarely ...XAU/USD & XAG/USD - Gold & Silver Traders Thread

harvest3r replied Apr 1, 2011Last time it was boring. This time it's more fun. Well, it seems that the market liked the numbers and expect a hike in the US interest rates / end of QE: USDJPY and USDCHF are high, EURUSD and GBPUSD low, gold also low. It's too early to say ...

harvest3r replied Apr 1, 2011Why don't you start with gold? Silver is too wild and can be very dangerous, especially if you are just starting your trade career. If you checked the last pages, you can see the discussion about the trend in silver. A huge correction could happen ...

I read somewhere (maybe in this thread) that the dig costs are $4 per oz. That's very low now, but considering the production overheads, this was not true when the market price was close to ...XAU/USD & XAG/USD - Gold & Silver Traders Thread

harvest3r replied Mar 31, 2011For me, they are all the same hahahahaha -- * -- Back to silver: I don't pretend to defend Euroscum, but he is not saying that without reason. Historically there were many corrections, big ones. One may say: "now it's different, the fundamentals ...

harvest3r replied Mar 31, 2011Yes, you did it! It's important to have those historical data in mind, in order to be prepared when those corrections appear again. Actually it WILL happen again, the question is when? And at which level? Who knows... Someone had the idea of buying ...

harvest3r replied Mar 31, 2011Do you give me a CALL on silver @20?
Jokes apart - yes, everything is possible, but I prefer to be on the safe side and have a small amount of physical metal. When the correction comes, I can cost-average it. It's a matter of a few coins, not a ...XAU/USD & XAG/USD - Gold & Silver Traders Thread

harvest3r replied Mar 31, 2011You are right. It's time to invest in physical metal, even if it seems to be expensive. It can get much worse in the future. I was expecting silver to fall a little bit but, as I already said some weeks ago, it's difficult to see a sign of any big ...

harvest3r replied Mar 30, 2011That's what I call optimism... I wouldn't say we will never see 1400 again, but it took one new war (Lybia) and a huge tragedy (Japan) in order to bring gold down below 1400. Even the manipulation-like sell-offs didn't manage to cross the 1410 line, ...

I don't think so. 1410 was very well defended and the only barrier broken in the last hours was the upper one, when we touched 1430. Since there was no recognizable important news, it seems that we had ...XAU/USD & XAG/USD - Gold & Silver Traders Thread

harvest3r replied Mar 28, 2011I don't trade timeframes. It may seem curious, but that's the way it is... If you are "neutral", that's fine. I don't see any evidence that we are on an oversold area, so I will keep scalping. Maybe later in the day there will be some better chance ...

harvest3r replied Mar 25, 2011You chose a quite complex pair... That's what I explained, silver has a huge rally against gold at the moment. If you want to follow the trend, you should do the opposite, buy silver and sell gold - unless you are a counter-trader, like me.
