Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011Don't worry, I'm not buying yet

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011EU 5M just past was a test. Will it be successful? Edited to add a chart. Be careful though, there is a SOW behind it. London session has been making higher lows this morning, perhaps we will see a breakout during the US session.

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011You're good for a short hairy bloke who's best friends with Chewbacca
It won't even break through todays POC, not a great SOS. However volume is still low for the time of day so far, so this *could* be a continuation of the test from yesterday. ...vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011
That's not so good. I know esignal can be seriously expensive, but I made the decision early on that I believed in VSA - it made sense and was logical to me. I realised quickly that if I'm looking at the same bars as Malc for example, but ...vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011Very fair point (I'm running slowly this morning, no coffee consumed yet) In which case I would have answered I agree, but the SOS are on volume far less than yesterdays SOS during the US session. I would have then said that I want to watch the ...

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011That's why I put the

I appreciate you know what a testing bar looks like but if you are convinced that SM can 'test' by marking the price up (loads of buying as you put it to make the herd rush in and buy as well) then I think you're ...vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011Yes, but look at the volume on the move back up towards 1.3900. I'm not seeing enough enthusiasm for the upside just yet. Still want to see a clear effort through 1.3900 and testing before being comfortable with longs.

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011I think you got in at a great point but it was risky just before London open. Not sure why you highlighted the No supply bar though as you were looking for shorts and ultimately took a short trade? I haven't looked further back than today because ...

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011(Just catching up on posts since I went to bed last night...) There was a thread or post a few months back about the best broker with volume closest to esignal - can't remember exactly where though. Remember demo volumes can differ from real volumes ...

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011Frank I saw your charts a few pages back, thanks for that
I see what you mean by the effort to fall, its amazing how much easier it is to understand things with a chart to back it up. Continuing the discussion on your next points from ...vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011EU — My analysis so far of EU. Looking at shorts unless we break above 1.3900. I *almost* fell into my old trap this morning. Having seen a SOS strength yesterday, and convincing myself it was a test on the daily yesterday, I was thinking of ...

Steve Gill replied Mar 9, 2011What do I win?
It was a successful test as well - an entry above the high of the bar would be nice. I still think it might be a little choppy though - B/E asap.vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 8, 2011Yes, or a drift down (not overly bothered as I can't see Asia breaking today's low) but London marks the price right back up - the key for me is the first hour of Europe and first hour of London IMHO (7am GMT to 9am GMT). However I'm no expert, ...

Steve Gill replied Mar 8, 2011Thanks
Agreed 100% - for tomorrow, I'm watching PA around the POC in London open. If we're sitting comfortably above the POC, or testing it on low volume, then longs it is. If we're below, and there is no clear effort to push back through it, ...vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 8, 2011Your volume is completely different to mine. I am looking at futures volume but for yours to be significantly higher than last week doesn't tie up with esignal's volume. One of us is wrong
I've attached the daily with the adjusted volumes moved ...vsa with Malcolm

Steve Gill replied Mar 8, 2011The problem is that if you buy more but there IS supply there, that supply will swamp your buying and the price will fall, meaning you're left with stock bought at a higher price when the price is now lower. You are now part of the weak holder club ...

Steve Gill replied Mar 8, 2011That is not the way the markets work. What you are describing is the quickest way to go bust. With the greatest of respect I strongly recommend reading (or re-reading) Tom William's book Master the Markets.
