dare i suggest that you don't trade just before eco anouncements, or are at least square up during them if you can't afford the drawdowns,and wait for eco release to bring the herd into sight and then look for entries... the eco announcements ...

i guess it's all relative to the time frame you're watching... I find the 5 mins to be the best learning frame especially with all the kind help from the experienced VSA practitioners...here is how i saw it, i guess i just shorted the wrong eur ...

Priot to ECN i've never considered the 5mins as a serious time frame but since most ecn brokers can be a pip or less then it is actually a viable trading frame. Now with a eurusd and a gbpusd short, it's now at 3 wins, 1 lose for the evening.
