I have been doing the same thing - after spending some fruitful time this week, I too was counting on the martingale and thanks to awol's confirmation that I was indeed heading in the right direction I spent the day widening my buffers, adding bars ...

My journey — FH you have made a request on more than one occasion for traders to share their experience using your Stairstep methodology with you. I do not post very often; if you check my history, you will notice that I did a journal on FF ...

Thank you — I appreciate your response, as you noted - its the exits that make the money. I have not gotten my head around the macd as an exit strategy yet. I need to spend a little more time with it and compare it to what I see as possible ...

The 2 trillion mistake is based on a baseline - hmmm baseline budgets, isn't that part of the reason we are experiencing such a huge federal debt in the first place. So maybe S&P has it right when they downgraded the US because they didn't use the ...

Looks like its time to evoke your ability to honor a stop loss and realize this trade idea is a bust. Would be interested in the indicators you use so I can have the kahonas to follow your lead and find someone who wants to invest 100K in my ...

As much as I would like to say yes I know - I don't. I only have hindsight to work with since I closed my long at 4010 and went to bed. I can look at the chart and the truth is - what I would do in the heat of price action is probably haved exited ...

Mac - Thank you - I was looking for a way to do a better job of managing my mind when I am trading. The "I am so stupid" or "not again" mental thoughts do nothing positive for my trading and are actually detrimental. Lately I have been turning off ...

Ok my orders are set long 4414 short 4395. With the euro in such a tight range for the day I can only hope that london wakes up and moves the market someplace esle besides the 4400 level.

I had hoped when price broke 4474 that I would bet a nice run since that has been support for several days - oh well -9 for the test is not bad. Got out because price broke up and tested that level a couple of times - can always get back in.
