I meant net profits, not gross profits. You pay spreads on losing trades too. And I trade some exotic stuff too with wide spreads.

Patterns occur because your brain thinks they occur. I dont believe they provide any basis to make trading decisions.

Why do chart patterns happen?

I trade very long term and commissions eat up about 6% of profits.
