It's not dead, but it is dying and won't be coming back. When news trading first surfaced I made good money and so did many others, but just like any "gold rush" it is profitable for those first in and temporarily. The difference with news trading ...

Thanks for your theories. Very interesting. I never thought of it that way before. In a less profound manner I just said to myself... hey, this will actually works! I've been trading for 7 months now and have been pounding away at carry trade ideas ...

Well, this is how I do it. You take any pair and find it's daily range. Like you said, one way is to take the ATR, but make sure you do so from the daily chart. I only do this method with exotics that I can't find daily range data on. I usually do a ...

Do they pay interest on only the part of your balance that is not in a trade or the entire account balance?

I thought Oanda had 50:1 top? What is Oanda's top leverage? And also, how much interest do they give for not even being in a trade. That is nice, but if it is negligable in comparison to a much higher rate offered then we shouldn't go with them. I ...

I'm gettin a 98 correlation with DKK, but that's still ridiculously high. That would be a VERY safe hedge.

FXCM only offers 50:1 leverage if you want to gain interest. I know they offer 200:1 and 100:1 as well, but if you want to make interest, at all, 50:1 is the best they will do. Unless you are Bill Gates that's not going to do much good for you ...

I'm actually working on a deal with a broker where I can get 100:1 rates with 400:1 leverage. I'll let you know what happens.

That spread stinks. 10 at UGM plus $1 comm per mini. What is their rate for gbp/nzd long?

The brokers that I need have 400:1 and trade the GBP/NZD. This eliminates most brokers immediately.

All brokers will have the interest losing side larger then the interest gaining side. What you can do is hedge pairs with a high correlation and have the pair that gains interest against a pair that loses less and net the difference.

That's a horrible swap for the JPY. UGM pays $13.70 for long positions.

I would imagine that they can't offer 500:1 indefinitely. Do you know at what account size they cut off that much leverage. I would also want to look into there history because the higher the leverage a broker offers the more likely they are a ...

Wow, I didn't know you could get 500:1 now. You need to be extra careful with that. Fxsol BLOWS for interest, so they're out of the picture. 50:1 is no good, so that kills FXDD and I guess Oanda too. I will look into this North Finance. Never heard ...
