From the point of view of an amateur, didn't this budget sound quite good? Or is it all spin? Reduction of corporate tax and increase of personal allowance to 10k sounded promising. Can anyone more knowledgeable offer some of their analysis?

sound advice. If I were a Greek person, no way would I be keeping my money in a Greek bank. I'm wondering how long it will be until we see a proper run. I mean, yes, ECB will of course step in, but if it were your savings, why would you take the ...
ECB says it will continue to support Greek banks

very true, I'm probably just grumpy because we've probably got endless weeks of Greek news coming up, with can kicking and buck passing and no real solution in sight. meh...

they have 50% youth unemployment in Greece, there are more important things than just making a few dollars trading here and there.

ECB Monetary policy decision

Maybe my understanding is a little confused, and I would appreciate any clarification, but I was thinking that increased money supply and (ever so slightly) raised inflation would mean a reduction in European interest rates is less likely, and ...

FOMC Statement

Earlier today BIS sold GBP against USD around 1.5930, according to forexlive at least. We're now back to that level, after recovering from 1.5860. Would BIS have bought at that low (is 80 pips a BIS range?) Or are they likely to repeat again at the ...
Housing Cracks Will Help to Bring Pound Down
- mungford commented Mar 28, 2012
Probably should have done a fair bit better, I'm going into trades far too early and missing out on maximising my profits. Putting it down to a lack of experience and over enthusiasm! eg, have placed a short from 1.3290 basically because I lacked ...

3281 also tested and held many times, plus 1hr 100sma should be about there. So plenty of reasons for a massive break downwards!? All those juicy stop losses for a big player to take?

Gah! Slow morning! Feels like I've been up forever! Does it seem like something big and heavy is pushing down all potential EUR rallies or is it just me? We're now coming up to the 1.3355 number where I first heard of this BIS sell. I have ...

EUR/USD Fade Zone to Watch

I had 1.32905 myself, but these rumours of BIS selling from 1.3355... makes you wonder if the end point could be below 1.325. Plus a turquoise dotted line has appeared on my charts at 1.32534 and I can't remember putting it there. I like turquoise. ...

Mima! - on forexlive they mention HSBC's target: "HSBC long at 1.3240, target 1.3600, stop 1.3090." seems someone has been reading your multiple posts! (Personally I seriously doubt it to go that high, but best of luck!) (dang, jonahky beat me to ...
EUR/USD Locked in Tight Multi-Day Range; Waiting for Breakout
- mungford commented Mar 20, 2012
Is this a correct analysis: (bear in mind I am new to all this) is the EUR rally based on USD buying European equities? Is this why better US news seems to increase DAX and FTSE, whilst bad European news has no real effect on currency. Where else ...
