I trade long term and I live from my gains, but a simple life. My average gain per year till now was 90%, but this year the stock market has been going really bad and I'm only +0,5% positive. But there is expectations for the market to recover.

Impossible to gain 1% every day. It is simple impossible. Gaining 1% not compounding is 360% per year and imagine compounding? It would be more than 1.000%. Of course you can do it one month or two, but on the medium and long term you are 100% sure ...

I totally agree. People tend to think trading "is easy" and anyone can do it with a little of work. But the truth is that it's totally extremely difficult to trade profitable on the long term.
