May I ask where all these +5's end up?

I missed it by 30 seconds. Sat down, thought to myself "hmm this looks like it's setting up" looked away for about a second and off it went without me. Nice trade and glad to see you got it.

No trades for me yet. Waiting patiently till the market shows its hand a bit. Edit: Still quiet out there. No trades so BE for the day.

I've been making some steady progress this week. Much more disciplined and patient with total focus being given to the market and hence no posts. Thanks to those that gave me advice over the last week as it appears to be working. I'll be back in a ...

All good points and I won't pollute the thread any more with P/A discussion. I guess it's what I think I need to 'fine tune' an entry similar to what others do on the 5M/1M.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I'd made an observation which I needed to validate more in the Simulator. I think it's one of the reasons I've been taking poor trades. What I haven't been focussing on is the P/A prior to the MA triggers which ...

I was using a multi position phased in approach that i'd used with success in the past. However price kept going and ran through all the ma's. This caused most of the damage. Not going to cry over it today. I've analysed it, realised what i did ...

Fair enough although i am using the simulator a lot.

Another really bad day for me. - 10 % in the account. Wherever i enter price seems to always turn around and go in the opposite direction. Maybe im just not suited to this strategy.

So the entry looked ok then?

Despite what I thought was a AAA trade on GBPJPY with touch of 10EMA on H1, confluence of 35,50 and RN on 15, price retreated a fraction and then blew straight through and took out my stop. Struggling to figure out what I'm doing wrong. image

Very very slow today or maybe I've been watching too much simulator.
- grantyboy replied Oct 8, 2014
I hear you Sheik. I've taken about 4 trades this week (2 positive and 2 negative) but have noticed there are often opposing signals on a different TF so I'm taking my pips early. So far I'm BE.

I don't think I'm understanding. Do you mean that for shorts?: - the 10 is lower than the 35 which is in turn lower than the 50 then it's a stronger trade? Makes sense I suppose since that would indicate a pretty strong down trend.

Thanks Intense. The 10EMA is very useful on the Daily, it's the other MA's on that TF that I don't see much action from. However, I still need to figure out what the 10EMA turning means. I'll reference a couple of posts so you can see what I mean. ...

Another question. How many actually take a trade off the touches of the 35 & 50 on the daily chart? Reason I ask is that I've been watching the simulator and don't see them being respected that often.
- grantyboy replied Oct 7, 2014
Me too and if only there was 31.5 speed on the simulator.

A question for the group if I may. I've been reading through the old Dance thread and one thing that has always mystified me is the concept of the 10EMA "turning over" or "hooking". When P/A retraces to the 35SMA or 50EMA the 10EMA will always end ...

Thanks for your guidance Guido. I must admit that I actually know when I'm taking a sub optimal trade. The problem is that even though I know, I still seem to think "oh well its just lower probability but theres still a good chance it will go my ...

Thanks for your kind thoughts Guido and Intense. Nice to know there are those that will offer a thoughtful comment rather than judgement. In fairness to CHOROS, I was the problem and not the strategy. I entered when ma's were flat, I entered when ...
