Put on a demo trade sell on USD/CAD using FXCM. Why sell? I looked at a weekly chart and the pair seemed to be hitting a ceiling.. Plus I gambled: CAD news? Must be good, so CAD stronger, so USD/CAD might tank.

Here's a picture of H4 EURUSD. D1, W1 and M1 are all pointing downwards. Two bullish engulfing bars. Am I right to assume that both candles are no trades? [EDIT]Appears I assumed wrong (post url )

Indy or no indy - if the person pulling the trigger sucks at determining when to trade and when not to trade, the following can occur: image

I've made a Ninjatrader indy to plot arrows for longs and shorts based on the entry criteria explained on the first page: Price above/below EMA 100. Two consecutive up or down candles after a pullback. CCI 7 above -50 / below 50 (I've assumed this ...

[Edit: hmm... logic for EMA criteria on D1 appears to be flawed... Back to debugging..] A couple of years ago I've bought a lifetime license for Ninjatrader ($995). Still trying to get a return on my investment Therefore I've made an EA for ...

Some bonehead trades I've taken Monday and today. On Monday a famous headfake short, followed by a stupid reversal long taken right at the top of the wick. Today during London I shorted but soon after I've killed it, realizing I've been trading chop ...

Hopefully the japs don't come back to bite me in the youknowwhat..

This long TF method is starting to grow on me, thanks for sharing Spyderman! I've had a rocky experience trading 5M (see my thread in the rookie section: One hit wonder or am I on to something?). I'm actually quite comfortable entering trades on D1 ...

Came out alive today, despite the heavy weather today on EU and GU.. I'm using url at work to keep tabs on EU and GU. As soon as a trade opportunity arrives, I switch to iPhone FXCM app. Saves battery

Funny you should say this, without realizing it I traded the news yesterday (14:15 GMT+1 @ 1.3286). Got cocky too by opening another long around 15:15 GMT+1 @ 1.3352, this time a full lot.. Second trade got up to 1.3361 at which point I ...

And another runner - go EU!! Lost on GU earlier today though - short (-15).

Caught a runner yesterday using a 20 pip trailing stop: +180 pips This trade alone has compensated 75% of my losses since November last year. See the screenshots for further details. @BBPI_fxtrader: Thanks for your feedback. I realize ...

Thanks, but I'm pretty hooked to the iPhone lifestyle. I'm doing my best to keep a low profile with my trading . Two trades today: 1 loss and 1 win. GU -18 EU +11 Got greedy on EU, otherwise could've bagged 30.

Full stop and reverse! I'm going back to the trading method as outlined in my first post, along with the original barebones layout. Yes, this may seem rash and fickle and some might think I'm bipolar or something. Just look at it as part of the ...

Best wishes to all for 2013 ! Haven't made a good start of the year . Got whipped during chop on EU and GU. Sure it was NFP day, but that shouldn't be an excuse. I think it's time to start following some advice (e.g. Pemully) ...

This surely requires more intensive chart monitoring. When waiting for breakouts, I'd just use price alerts and continued with other stuff. Acting on pullbacks and 1-2-3's means you'd have to keep your eyes glued to the screen :nerd: You'll find the ...

@Turveyd: I'm using my spare time to eyeball charts. I've attached some October charts for GU. Next Friday I'll have time to trade again, so until then I'll study charts until my eyes will melt. @>Apocalypto<: I've had funded accounts at IB, MB ...

I've added two EMA's on the Low and High like you said. Possible entry criteria: Short when price crosses below EMA(Low). Long when proce crosses above EMA(High). Would this be more in the line of your thinking?

Got burned in a sideways market One good EU trade though, but got greedy . I was to eager to do some trading on my day off of work.
