That old Brittany Spears tune comes to mind. "Grift me baby, one more time"

Don't fly too close to the sun. spread out your accounts as much as you can. If you do too much damage you will be fired. That seems to be the game.

I believe it's illegal for offshore/unregulated brokers to accept US clients. I could be wrong about that.

Once you've built up a cushion the overall drawdown is no longer a concern. I"m a confident trader so I just need to clear that hurdle in the beginning, and then I can forget about the overall drawdown I"m in the US. Not even sure how to use off ...

I think the favorability somewhat depends on a comparison with how you trade your personal account. I trade with 2-3% risk so reducing that to 0.5% to avoid the daily drawdown violation makes the decision a little more tricky. But you may be right.

Based on your note I did a quick search on "instant funding" firms. I have no idea of the quality of these firms. url url

It's my turn to whine a bit. The 5% daily loss limits really keeps me from doing any real trading... You guys suggest that I risk 0.25%-0.5% per trade to avoid the DD, but these are tiny trades...Apparently I really need to load up on funded ...

Dude can you please stop raging? MFF allows copiers. Your interpretation of their rules is wrong. There are people all over internet showing that they use copiers with them. And instead of spamming the thread why not just communicate directly with ...

If you can't find success with prop firms without a time limit you simply are not ready. If you are not READY you should NOT be trading with prop firms. Free retries are no longer necessary unless you are not READY

Either way, she's a moving and I'm happy to follow her where ever she goes.

I've made big money the last 2 weeks on the Yen. It's turn around is due and maybe this is the beginning. You have to be engaged in the market to extract profits.

Agreed. Right now there seems to be a race to the bottom, which may be an over correction. I do wonder why they've gone straight to unlimited time instead of reducing the profit target to 5% or something more reasonable. Heck even a 90 day challenge ...

Please enlighten us as to how time limits are better than no time limits? I can't wait to hear your explanation.

My profit target is beyond the resistance. I already placed the close order so it will be hit.

TL/DR: The industry will be fine. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the majority of retail regulation on trading stocks, forex, and futures, options is centered around protecting idiot traders from losing all of their capital while engaging in activities ...

What I said was "when I started trading". My personal targets have changed since then. 20% is low only if you think it's low. 20% a year is the MINIMUM I would personally accept as a trader. If I couldn't get 20%/year I would find something else to ...

I've never quite got on board with this math. As you said, this restriction is only a real restriction if you are a person that risks 5% on a trade. Hence the 5% limit will change nothing about the way I trade. In my brain the math is most relevant ...

More assumptions. The 20% minimum was for trading my own personal funds. It had nothing to do with "prop firms" or their capital. Nothing you said changes what I said. You're responding to arguments that I have not made. It's not even the point of ...

The 20% comment is not the point I was making. Stay focused. Extracting 10% from the market, on demand is just not realistic. It's doable but not sustainable for the vast majority of profitable traders. Unless you can point me to average market ...
