@cdsaa, Sorry, I give up on USDJPY for Blessing - can't find a combination that is with a low gross loss and a low capital to survive a 2+ years worth of tick data. Any super news needs to be entered in the holiday entry for it go through and the ...

That depends on the pair the setfile has been tested on. Note that if all indicators are set other than 0 and you put it at false, note that the "OR" conditions becomes "AND" condition. And may end up the EA not taking any trade. If there is a BUY ...

Open up Blessing 3 v3.9.6.09.mq4 file in your MetaEditor and every setting's description will be seen there (see sample pointy arrows in screenshot).

Thank you for sharing your results. It is nice to see that you are profiting from it albeit not as much as you mentioned. Everything can be improved. However, it takes time, manpower and resources to that. On your part, you can switch to a broker ...

There had been a number of PM's asking what is the difference between my setfiles, the JTA's official setfile, Blamshakk's setfile, etc. And what would be the selling point of my setfiles. Answer: 1. Look at the result report of the setfiles posted ...

Looks interesting. But...why on demo only though?

Finally, someone who understands the hardships of being a software engineer! As we developers always say - everything can be automated but you must choose only 2 of the three options in an SDLC: 1. Cheap 2. Fast 3. Proper That means if you want your ...

Yeah, I think little by little changes in Blessing would be the easiest route. Add in filters/indicators that work as per your trading style in Forex. I, however, took the arduous route and started my own 2 months back. I already created 2 that are ...

ah Java. It is nice but it has been what...10 or 12 years since I last touched a Java code. Now the framework has evolved into something alien to me like React, Angular, Spring, etc. As a software engineer, I used to learn those things and keep up ...

It is very decent! Unlike most EAs out there. However, I believe it can be much much better. The beauty of Blessing is also its downfall - the plethora of customization of parameters. So taking good chunks of subroutines from Blessing and ...

Attached. Though warning it has larger gross DD than net profit so it needs a larger margin. The one I created before offers a bit lower profit but much much lower DD. So choose your poison (see attached backtest result).

I was looking around for actual reviews of Blessings on "live" and found the following (see screenshot). The 1st Reviewer seemed like he had done it correctly and conservatively and even just used the "free" set and with ample margin for a micro ...

Nope. You need an MT5 specific EA. And the Blessing EA version we have is already EOL (End-Of-Life) meaning there is no support nor upgrade for it.

I remember it has more customizable parameters. I'm actually interested in it but I'm not sure if it includes the source file.

Best to use the Holiday entries I reckon. Though as most people are saying out there that grid systems are NOT a set-and-forget system.

I just realized the screenshot I posted for AUDNZD is wrong (it was for a different EA), I corrected it now (see post #227).
- maikeru replied Aug 2, 2018
Did AUDNZD for those who want it - not great but can turn your $500 to $1331 in 2.5 years with a fair drawdown (still no bank can give you that for time deposit interest). So for 500, you can scale-up easily. See details in screenshot. It's 4am need ...

So far in my tests of UJ combinations, most of them recovered fairly - FOMC, BOJ, NFP. The only thing that wrecks it is the Trump/Clinton election so I had to enable the holiday flag just for that two weeks. Unfortunately, though, I still can't nail ...

Awesome, keep up with that great mindset!

I disagree, if you did your due diligence, your risk is calculated.
