Thank you for all the great replies. There are a number of good options put forward. I have recieved quite a few PM's asking me what I decided to go with. In the end I stuck with mt5 as my backtesting solution. I have not tried all the options ...

Awesome! Thank you for your reply. I had a feeling it might be tied to GMT. I will need to get myself a GMT based broker and do some investigating. Much appreciated triphop.

Hi digiff, Thank you for your reply. Some good advice in there. You are correct I did not specify the reasons for knowing the answer to this but I wanted the first post to be to the point. With my system it could potentially matter so I wish to ...

We are getting closer. Yes forex has no centralised exchange and therefore it is an agreement between the banks as to the weekend close/open time. Daylight Savings is the crux of the question. DST happened in Europe over the weekend and the opening ...

Sorry let me clarify. Atheer1 has given a true statement, but it is not the answer to my question. I am not talking about the start of a market each day. I am talking about the weekend close times. It must be set to a timezone. Whilst it is quoted ...

Thanks for your reply but that's not correct. Yes brokers can have whatever server time they want and that will affect your candle close time, however what I am asking is: what time zone is used to determine the open and close of the forex market. ...

Congrats to you. That was a great call. I have been with you all the way up but I didn't think it was going to make the latest high. Incredible analysis.

Hi Jay, Your results are always so impressive. You are a real inspiration. Any chance you are prepared to give us some clues as to how you are using the "trio combination" please? Thank you.

I tried to understand what you are proposing but got lost. To me TZ's must include the wick as TZ's only deal with price, they have no reference to the close value of a bar. Just because I dont get it doesnt mean you dont have a good idea. Hopefully ...

TZ's are still the only indi on my charts. If you wish to keep the discussion going, please tell us what gems do you have to share with the group?

Captain, Wow. I have to thank you sir. I only "found" this thread yesterday and consequently spent a good few hours reading your posts at SH forum. I have been trading for a few years already but yesterday you made something click with me in my ...

I can corroborate that. In my testing to date, Targets make more than Trailing Stops. BE also makes more than a simple stop. Great work you are dong here. I will keep watching from the sideline.

That would be great as it is an area I have always wanted to go towards but my coding skills just aren't there yet. Thank you! I read up on Encog considerably and it is the 'best' product that I can find out there to do what you are after. MT5 bugs? ...
- Innate replied Oct 20, 2015
Not that I was ever able to get it going myself but you should try Encog with Metatrader if you are interested in HMM's (plus most of the other main forms of NN's). I would love to hear about your results with that. url PS, consider MT5 if you ...

Thank you very much for this! I will check it out in the weekend when I have some time. I really appreciate the source code so I can read and understand what is going on. Nice work k.

Hi Lowphat, Can you tell us how you are using the indicator please? Thank you.

I have been thinking more about this and wondered if the TZADL indi could be used as a currency strength meter... We could tally the results from various pairs and create a single TZADL for each currency. Both the binary and total pips version could ...

This is fascinating NT. Price action alone used as a volume proxy... Good outside the zone thinking kprsa. I was thinking of something similar as a directional indicator but not at h=1. Nice

But the Daily (green line) didnt give the false call. Maybe 1 minute is too much of a contrast to the daily? Possibly try a 30 min bars within the Daily. BTW great contribution NT!
