NEWS_B6_v20g.ex4 works nice. Will you be automating the GMT detection in the future? I had to use -7 and 3, then the news releases showed the correct times (since I live in a -7 GMT time zone and my broker is in a 3 GMT time zone).

I don't know if it is just the MT4 I downloaded, but I downloaded MT4 Build 600, and all EA's created before Build 600 don't work in Build 600. Multiple errors show up in the ea codes.

If you live in the US you have to report your Forex Gain or Losses on Form 1040. Whether it still works this way as of 2014 I don't know. But last I heard, for example, say you fund your Forex account with $5000, and at the end of the year when you ...

No, not trying to be funny. Back in 2010 when I was new to Forex, and all nonUS brokers still accepted US clients, I opened an account with 1pipfix, but they had minimum take profit requirements depending on the currency pair (10 pip minimum for ...

If there is a broker offering fixed spreads of 1 pip or less, the catch is they probably require a minimim take profit level (such as 10 pips or even 20 pips or more) meaning if your trade opens and you try to scalp 2 pips or 5 pips etc., the trade ...

How was your problem solved? I am getting the same error: " "cannot open file".

I use FXOPen ECN to trade Gold. It is in their MT4 platform. Currently I have been trading it (December 2011), and when I open a trade on Gold for $1 a pip the commission is only 80 cents, and the spread is about 10 pips (a few times it dropped to 3 ...

Thank you nhct. If anything it would be considered a business for me if I eventually sell one of the EA's I paid a programmer to create for me. I spent over $1000 paying programmers, and none of the EAs are worth selling because they are based on ...

I found info about where to include a Forex loss (or gain) when using Turbo Tax so that it will show up on line 21: In Turbo Tax, you want to select "Less Common Income" then "Miscellaneous Income". It will then give you a list of Misc Income ...

Thank you very much nhct. I will see what I can do with the information you provided. I really appreciate it. The $5000 loss is huge for me (maybe not for someone else) because it is about 1/4 of my net income for 2010. I also spent another $2000 on ...

Will The IRS Pay Me Back Some Of My Forex Losses? — I am a self-employed US citizen, and earn a small annual income, and don’t work for an employer. I have to file a 1040, Schedule C, and schedule SE at the end of the year for the ...

Generic EA trades very well on my demo. I hope to go live soon. Unfortunately it has a tendency to sometimes freeze/slow down my MT4 when it is running on VPS and therefore when a new day starts the range box does not always paint and breakout ...

Actually I require 2K a month to live (even less if I simplify more). My current average monthly net income is about 2K (not in Forex). That is the reason I chose 4K a month as a goal in Forex for now. It would be huge wealth for me. Even my regular ...

I had to try 7 brokers before I found a broker where the Generic V7 EA opened trades. The brokers where it did not open trades are: MB Trading, Forex.com, FXCM, Forinvest, 2pipFixed, FXOpen, AAAFX. It finally opened a trade in my 1pipfix (ITFX ...

The Volceq EA is exactly what I have been looking for. But it does not open any trades. It draws the box, and the dotted lines for the margin. But when the price crosses the dotted line/s a trade should be triggered. But no trades are triggered. It ...

I am new to Forex, but have calculated that if you have a large enough initial deposit to handle 1 lot per trade ($10 per pip), then to get, for example, a $4000 a month income in Forex you would only have to aim for 20 pips a day 5 days a week. ...

Does this EA still work? It won't open any orders even after I fill in the inputs. I have the 8 hours of the Asian session as the range beginning and end times. And I have the trade time as the first 5 hours of the London session. I also filled in ...

This idea might work on a daily timeframe. On a daily timeframe even if the price barely crosses the RSI 50 line you might still have + 10 pips after the spread. No one wants to sit around watching a daily chart so a RSI EA (based on the above ...

If I change the stop loss in this EA, it does not open any trades. So I have to keep the stop loss at 150. But that is too high because I then end up with several -$150 (for $1 per lot) and several -$1500 (for $10 per lot). The take profit can be ...

If you are looking to enter a monthly trend, you need to look at all charts together so you can time your entry. If possible you want to time your entry as close to a high point or low point as possible. What I mean is, for example, say you are ...
