Thank you Anther! That sounds like a good idea. As I demo trade LG's setups, I think I'd prefer to have my charts look the same. I'll also experiment with the BO's using my first 4 candles too. Maybe it makes no difference once you're comfortable ...

Adjust Period Separator? — Hello all. I have a basic MT4 newbie question. Is there a way to adjust MT so the period separator starts a new period (day) when we want it to? I've just started reading this wonderful (but rather long) thread over ...

I don't have those displayed on my Stochastics 1.7 window. Can't help on that one. Anyone else with that on their chart?

Interesting. Keep us informed of what they're doing. What pairs are they using? What are they looking at and how are they playing them? I agree with just watching one or two pairs and learning how they move and react. Your success will be much ...

Very well stated. Nobody should be trading anything live without fully understanding the risks involved with margin calls. That's what demo accounts are for. I look at this "method" of trading more about education than any type of sure fire way to ...

Hopefully when you throw out a trade the spread is either over-bought or over-sold depending on which way you want it to go. For example, this chart shows the G/J vs E/J. You can see the spread between them is on the high end so the odds are that ...

Yup. It's an unavoidable problem with placing 2 charts on top of each other. The best solution is to try to standardize your charts so they zero out at a specific point in time. Maybe a 0:00 5 Day and a 0:00 20 Day etc. It's not an easy fix but ...

It's impossible to say what the judgement call would have been in Dec 08 but as you can see, the Spread was accelerating for quite some time before the spike in the EUR/USD so my guess is that if you were following the spreads (as you definately ...

Ok, then I'll apologize to everyone here for that "divergence". Maybe we can deal with what really matters....trading and learning. You're just as welcome here as anyone else as far as I'm concerned. It's 777's thread so if he feels it's taking away ...

I never said I trade these long/long or short/short. That's where you were incorrect. I said just the opposite and you still didn't get it. You just assumed that that's what we were doing because as you say "these pairs are usually traded long/long ...

Seems like practically all the "systems" out there only work in trending markets. If in fact this idea of trading the spreads between 2 pairs works best in a ranging market, wouldn't it be a great addition to ones trading arsenal? I think so and ...

Stevegee, Sorry, I missed your post asking about this. I use the thinkorswim platform for some of my trading. They have their own proprietary charts (not MT4) and they have a setting that allows you to set it to "Percentage View". That sets the ...
