Here is one to get you thinking about summer Brixen. 10am Saturday, early morning swim with high tide in Auckland. These small apartments always remind me of Manarola at Cinque Terre. image

Yes a respite from the heat. Temperatures have dropped from circa 25/26 (and very humid) to 20/21 as we are hit with some decent breeze from the south and west (which in our hemisphere is from the colder direction). Forecast is back to 24 to 25 for ...

Hope the weather comes right for it - the forecast for the next few days through to New Years Day is not that great. We have had an average summer so far, temperatures are okay, but very high humidity, wind and quite a bit of rain.

Take care Brixen, hope you are feeling better soon. So unfair to get it at Christmas. Another wave going through NZ as well, but at least the weather is warmer here.

This video from Trade series 4 has a pinned comment (and discussion) that covers off quite well the maths theory on the hedging pip gap and the appropriate TP level so as to optimise trim quantity. video

Hi @Yoriz, I agree with your logic/theory that hedging is no different to taking the loss and re-entering. Many people say this (plenty of posts on this forum proving that ). I have even done many modelling scenerios myself proving the same. ...

Hi there Brixen, I still review your thread every morning (NZT). Elements of your own money management style have been adapted by me and then adopted into my money management and trading style. But right now I am trading the CME markets - mostly the ...

Hi Rick, you are in Australia and I am in NZ. I had not thought about insuring my broking account. Are your broker accounts based in Australia? Mine (for futures trading) is US based. What type of insurance poilcy/cover is this and is it provided by ...

Why do you hedge rather than just take the loss and then enter in the other direction? Is it because you get a small benefit by netting the margin so as to lower the overall margin required on each leg? If so that comes at the cost of less profit, ...

Correct. Closed the borders forcing arrrivals through 14 day isolation and went for the Elimination strategy. Largely it has worked. Some cases arose in the community, but with close contacts being isolated and some partial lockdowns it has been ...

Not yet. They have started with 'at risk' workers - healthcare, border and quarantine facility staff. I think main roll out is July.
- steve2222 replied Apr 6, 2021
Hi Brixen, No lockdown. We have no Covid in the community - only in isolation facilities from NZers returning from overseas. From 19th April we will have an isolation/quarantine free travel bubble with Australia - effectively back to restriction ...

FDAX and FDXM are whole points. Actually it may only be the micro FESX that goes half points. According to the attached micro DAX may still be whole points: url refer attachment 1.

Half points for the Micro as well.

Hi Brixen, I note when you are typing about CFD trades that you always quote WHOLE points for the DAX. Does your broker's data only quote and accept trades in WHOLE points? Mine quotes DAX to one decimal place eg with DAX at 13865 it seems like your ...

Hi Brixen, I am not sure why the ASB tennis is not on this year. I know the players would have had to have spent 14 days in controlled isolation on arrival, but we have had tours from both the West Indies and Pakistan cricket teams and they both ...
