smart move by IG. binary options still have a taint around them even when offered licensed and regulated like at Nadex. tastytrade is much better platform for IG in the USA

Not really true. Some brokers doing great, some less so. The ones doing great have younger new traders who dont know from FX but love trading stocks they know (google, tesla, apple, zoom...) and cryptos.

No, FXCM did not go "belly up". They were effectively taken over by Jefferies Financial, one of the leading non-bank financial groups in the US. Doing fairly well lately, if Jefferies is to be believed.

Probably. Most brokers put in the fine print stuff like 'we can close your positions and your account at any time for any reason'. Here they did give some notice even if it wasn't alot. They cant just take your money, but they can close out the ...

Good point! I meant "go public" as opposed to IPO. I think your right though, makes more sense to go public thru a SPAC than traditional IPO. Hard to see a FX broker selling institutions on a roadshow, a precooked SPAC deal makes a lot more sense ...

Not all retail brokers @sairam123. It's a very have-have nots market out there, with the traders migrating to the bigger safer brokers. Guys like EXness, Plus500 doing great. Some mid guys also, but many others not so much
