Lyft driver runs out of gas, gets busted with 17 license suspensions

A Lyft driver, who ran out of gas in Suffolk County, was busted for driving with 17 license suspensions, according to cops. Leith Crossen, 57, of Cherry Hill, N.J., ran out of gas after dropping off a passenger at about 9:35 p.m. Saturday on Woodbury Road near Cold Spring Harbor Train Station, police said. Cops spotted Crossen in his 2007 Volkswagen Jetta after responding to a report of a possible drunk driver in the area. Crossen was not drunk, but when police ran his license, it came back with 17 suspensions, according to police. The Jersey man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
