California just became the first state in the country to require all new homes to be built with rooftop solar panels. "It's officially official," Kelly Knutsen, Director of Technology Advancement for the California Solar & Storage Association (CALSSA) told Solar Builder Magazine, after the California Building Standards Commission unanimously confirmed new solar rules the California Energy Commission originally put forward this past spring.
