EIA: US gas inventories up by 78 billion cubic feet
Working gas in storage across the United States amounted to 2,711 billion cubic feet in the week ending May 17, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Thursday. The reading marks a net increase of 78 billion cubic feet compared to the previous week. In comparison to the same period a year earlier, gas stocks rose 402 billion cubic feet and were 606 billion cubic feet above the five-year average of 2,105 billion cubic feet. The total working gas is above the five-year historical range.
