According to preliminary information from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by 0.4% in March 2024 compared to February 2024, seasonally and calendar adjusted. In a less volatile three-month comparison, production from January 2024 to March 2024 was 1.0% higher than in the previous three months. In February 2024, production increased by 1.7% compared to January 2024 after revision of the preliminary results (preliminary value: +2.1%).
