Households will save £426 a year on their energy bills from this summer, regulator Ofgem says, offering hope to millions struggling with £2,500-a-year tariffs. However, experts have warned the typical energy bill will likely remain at around £2,000 for the rest of this year, with no further Government energy bill rebates on offer. The Ofgem price cap will fall in July to £2,074 a year for an average household, the energy regulator said today.
