The Conference Board Leading Economic Index®(LEI) for China decreased by 0.8 percent in December 2022 to 156.2 (2016=100), following a 1.4 percent decline in November. In addition, the LEI contracted by 4.4 percent from June to December of 2022, a steeper decline than its 2.1 percent contraction over the previous six months. The Conference Board Coincident Economic Index® (CEI) for China increased by 1.1 percent in December 2022 to 137.3 (2016=100), after a 2.4 percent decrease in November.
