Europe will likely have enough natural gas to safely navigate the upcoming winter thanks to high storage levels, a strategy of supply diversification away from Russia, mild weather conditions in the early fall, and policies of consumption reduction. But the situation by winter 2023/24 might be more challenging for three reasons.
