Strike shuts both of Exxon's French refineries: Update

Strike action is disrupting operations at both of ExxonMobil's French refineries. Workers at the company's 133,000 b/d Fos refinery in southern France are in the process of shutting the plant down, the CGT trade union said on Thursday. Some flaring is expected at the site as units halt. The process of shutting ExxonMobil's other French refinery, the 236,0000 b/d Port Jerome facility in Normandy, was already underway, while the adjacent petrochemical plant has stopped operations after workers started closing down a number of units in the last 36 hours, according to the CGT.
