Russia Sets Out How Much It’s Going to Cut Gas Flow Through 2025

Russia set out just how much its gas flows to the global market will fall in the next three years -- and the numbers underscore the scale of the challenge facing Europe’s energy consumers. Annual pipeline gas exports are set to drop by almost 40% to 125.2 billion cubic meters in 2023-2025, according to the nation’s three-year draft plan, seen by Bloomberg. Pipeline gas exports is estimated at 142 billion cubic meters this year, the draft showed. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom PJSC has been reducing flows to Europe -- historically its biggest market -- for months amid the region’s sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine. ... (full story)
