Total imports of goods, excluding precious metals, increased by £2.0 billion (4.9%) in November 2021, because of a £0.8 billion (4.5%) increase in EU imports and a £1.1 billion (5.2%) rise in imports from non-EU countries. Imports from non-EU countries continue to be higher than from EU countries for the 11th consecutive month, and the gap is at its widest point of the year.
