China has now vaccinated more than 60% of its population and aims to take that number close to 80% by the end of October. However, given the uncertainty of the real efficiency of the Chinese vaccines towards the new virus mutation and the low number of Covid-19 cases so far, experts have estimated that more than 80% of population has to be vaccinated before herd immunity is reached.
