National consumer price index figures during August, 2021

The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) reports that in August 2021 the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) registered a growth of 0.19 percent compared to the immediately previous month. With this result, annual headline inflation was established at 5.59 percent. In the same month of 2020, the variations were upward, 0.39 percent per month and 4.05 percent annually. The underlying price index presented a monthly increase of 0.43 percent and 4.78 percent annually; for its part, the non-core price index fell 0.52 percent monthly and rose 8.14 percent annually.
