Mexico's Thirst for US Gas Shows No Sign of Abating

US gas pipeline exports to Mexico have recently risen into a record 6 billion-7 billion cubic foot per day range for reasons that virtually ensure they won't retreat anytime soon. More pipeline completions allowing access of US supply to existing power plants and those now coming on line, as well as policies of the administration of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, more commonly referred to as AMLO, infer that US exports are likely to continue growing and not significantly retreat as infrastructure constraints appear to be lessening. “I agree completely, it is going to be a floor for future imports,” ...
