Higher electric vehicle (EV) adoption and rising fuel efficiency will bring peak road transportation fuel demand forward to 2027, four years earlier than previously thought, BloombergNEF said in a report on Tuesday. Last year, BloombergNEF was expecting gasoline and diesel demand for passenger vehicles and trucks to peak in 2031.
