National consumer price index figures during May, 2021
The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) reports that in May 2021 the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) presented a growth of 0.20 percent compared to the immediately previous month. With this result, annual headline inflation reached a variation of 5.89 percent. In the same month of 2020, inflation was 0.38 percent per month and 2.84 percent annually. The underlying price index had a monthly increase of 0.53 percent and an annual increase of 4.37 percent; for its part, the non-core price index registered a monthly reduction of 0.75 percent and an annual increase of 10.76 percent.
