Cold weather is being experienced across much of the UK, and that means many will have no choice but to rely on their heating systems to keep warm. In order to help with the additional costs, some may qualify for financial support via the Cold Weather Payment scheme. The scheme runs between November 1 and March 31, so payments can only be triggered during this time frame. Not everyone in a triggered area will be eligible, it is important to note.
