Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find a Fibonacci Retracement Tool that co-exists alongside the existing Fibonacci Retracement Tool, that is independent of it on MT4.
So that there are two Fibonacci Retracement Tools both in isolation of each other with levels that can be selected independent of the other.

The closest I have found is, "Multicolor Fibonacci Retracement Tool", on this page: https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...1#post13330851

Screenshot what settings you're using. Default settings definitely won't work, as that was just the example given for coding it. You will need to change the price trigger and entry to fit your needs. Doesn't matter the timeframe you put it on..

No thanks, I'm not a fan of indicators (unless its extremely simple), and that one is missing the OnCalculate function.

Oh, really.

When reading I must have dreaming: I thought set to any time frame the price started like at 1.1, code would check for the low, e.g. when price reaches the high (like at 1.3) it auto trigger a pend order at 50% of the range (like at 1.2), change higher time frame the found range would be larger, and the profit larger, but the pending order always triggered at the 50% of the founded range

and vice versa for a down move

I have tried to find a way from an indi to see if my broker is up and running, but i can only find an EA to do it.
Is it possible with an Indicator and how?

I have tried using OnTimer but nothing happens when i disconnect my mt4 by trying to log in with a wrong password.

you look at the left bottom to see the connection up/downlink is ok, if not one part greyed out.
But you can not fight with the broker this way, they keep the server up, but delay, slow down, switch off the data feed, then switch back on with a surge, and widen spread etc. like when you switch on the light, see how the meter going crazy for few secs ... too many tricks on the data feed causing your chart, spread, indys messed up
nothing you can do against them because you did sign the contract enclosing all of those technical startup issues

I think maybe it's not working because you haven't set the Timer using EventSetTimer () or EventSetMillisecondTimer() in your init() function. Remember these also need EventKillTimer () in the deinit () function or they'll be forcibly destroyed after EA deinitialization

It's also possible that the sleep function might be causing it to miss timer events. Am not sure what the default Timer time is if it isn't set
