In terms of trading strategies I wouldn't recommend any books. They're all just written by wannabe traders.

On the other hand if you're to look into trading psychology... The. Trading in the zone is a solid read.

I partly agree on that. You probably wont get a full working system from a book, you can get good ideas to implement in you trading. Theres also some decent books on technical analysis.

The bible KJV, whole thing, don't cut corners. (this is pretty much the most essential, cut out work there is in terms of wisdom of the ages) Everything else mainly draws the wisdom from it.
Essence of the Upanishads... - Eknath Easwaran
Titan,... - Ron Chernow
Meditations - Marcus Aurelius
48 laws of power - Robert Greene
33 Strategies of war - Robert Greene
The Art of War - Sun Tzu
Shrewd:... - Rick Lawrence
The Prince - Machiavelli
The Adweek... - Joseph Sugarman
How to win friends... - Dale Carnegie
How to get rich - Felix Dennis
The Will power instinct - Kelly McGonigal
The Stress-Proof Brain - Melaine Greenberg

Most of these books really are about how to be more cunning, at least systemically. So, no trading books, but if you're serious about generating alpha, I don't see any other way unless you practice your decision making skills to be in line with what you need in order to get the job done and being professional about it all the way through. https://edubirdie.com/rate-my-paper Even if you don't make it in trading, these are skills that if applied in ordinary jobs, in life and all will keep you safe and make you a prodigy with efficiency>> overall get you to places without struggle. You'll recognize leverage, create your own market, and realize power over others. Where most are uncomfortable, you'll find comfort. Making your life more rewarding with health, & friends. If there is anything to being a stand up guy... it's to be mentally stable, and happy; to be a man's man. And that's what everyone should strive for. Be strong, and have character with no fear.

I would recommend "Day One Trader" by John Sussex which gives interesting insight into the mindset of star traders of the trading floor of Liffe (London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange). Sussex became a highly successful trader and eventually opened his own brokerage firm.

This book is not by a successful trader but rather about a successful trader and the steps he took to build a successful business:

It seems to me impossible to learn trading from books, only practice. But you can start with the basics: economics, finance. It won't be redundant. An hank you for this list!
