I don't think it's a coincidence that OANDA's servers "have issues" every time we are at market extremes. Personally, I think OANDA purposefully shuts down access to its servers so its customers won't be able to trade at critical times. Your inability to close a trade, or to adjust size for margin could easily result in profit for OANDA -- especially at times like these. CHA-CHING for OANDA!

Yeah, every time it happens is when the money is easy.

Depending on the pair, you could've got 10-15 pips easy. I ended up closing late with almost nothing looking for the damn support phone number they like to hide on their website.

Oanda, did you just start doing this yesterday??

Account locked and still on hold for an hour.

It's clearly done deliberately as it always happens on days like this and they know it, we all do.

Massive requotes/delays on Mt4 feed after the release.

Shark-infested waters, I trade 12-hour bars, Day Trading, not with Oanda. Their spread is too high anyway.
On top of that, you get threatened if you make a negative comment on a broker. What a world.

Down again....

Strangest thing though....The server for forexfactory was giving me the same "500 Internal server" error message at the EXACT same time.... very strange.... And I'm sure it isn't my isp or router...

Everything Mt4, web, desktop and android.

Too bad someone deleted my "Oanda Down Thread"

Second time in two weeks.

I can confirm weird error, desktop version. App on phone still works. I'm really not satifsfied with these downs currently. I would really appreciate if Oanda could stop to change always things on the desktop version - if that is the reason.

Let's see what Oanda says.

That was a Cloudflare issue. I think Oanda uses Cloudflare - was getting the 500 error. Cloudflare issue seems to have been resolved, but still can't login to Oanda, and TradingView has no real time data for Oanda (checked a couple other brokers on TV, and they're fine).

Hi Loom, seems like it is not the platform itself this time. Some minor services work. It has something to do with what you pinpointed. Main Website has problems.

Question Ton,

Regarding Oanda's A-book, do you send client tags with an A book customer's orders to the liquidity provider handling that client's flow?
