How to get 99.9% Modeling Quality on MT4 (BT)

SO, I need some help.... I can not get tick story to work properly with my Oanda MT4. I purchused Tick tory expecting it to be easier, but I am still not getting data to my tester. I was under the assumption that Tickstory is a all in one program to have %99 quality. Am I wrong ? I have watched all their videos , I have followed above well explained directions from KaskifNawaz. I am afraid I am not computer literate enough to figure this out. I get a little confused with all the different folders and program folders and such.... Does anyone else have issues with Tickstory Oanda MT4 ? Is their any more detailed videos or writings for non tech savy traders ?

I see the .fxt files audcad that I attempted to export, but I wonder why the red square (2010 microsoft word) is used for fxt file? Maybe this is issue?

Do i have widows open- change this to : opens with Metaeditor ?

May I know, why you want to open fxt file? There is nothing useful to read in these files, just copy paste them and uncheck read only mark.

This thread is although very helpful. The guide and steps are very confusing, vague. Could someone take me forward from these steps onward?

I'm stuck at the EA part where the file should be created by EA ".mt4config" and I do not see it anywhere in Files... I don't know how to get past this step. I am stuck.

I have noticed that the latest version of the QuantDataManager already has an "export to MT4" data type, so I guess we donīt need to run that extra step with the script? (the script is to convert to MT4 format, if I understood correctly).

So, after downloading the tick data and converting to MT4 format, in which folder should I put the tick data?

I am installing an instance of MT4 just for this stuff. I never did this before, so I am guessing that if the complete tick data is in the correct folders, then when I load a chart, letīs say EURUSD, if I scroll back the chart letīs say the 5m timeframe, then it will go as far back as the tick data allows, early 2003? (because right now it only goes a couple of months, using an IC Markets account).

What is gonna happen with the incoming tick data from the broker, is it gonna be merged into this new .HST file?

I donīt wanna use the backtester, I wanna paper trade going back in time and using a simulator, although I think the simulator is gonna need the .FXT file too, I am gonna use the FXBlue simulator for MT4, have to look into that. But still, I wanna be able to go as far back in time that I can via the intraday charts when scrolling the charts to the left.
Ok so I discovered you have to place the generated .hst files in the "history" folder. After I do that, then when I scroll back the intraday charts are gonna go to early 2003??

Check in the screenshot, the downloader has the export to .hsv feature.

Well I must add that some of my strategies can not be (back)tested at all.. I can not get into further details, but at the current design, it does not seem to be possible...
Because it needs the "live" factor or a different backtesting design... Currently it is... based in another way... that is why I would recommend, for any serious backtesting, to just use the raw tick-by-tick data and program the script/program yourself... Because MT4 does have some rules... and assumptions....
Can you afford to take that chance?

Having some trouble finding "configure". It's not in the top menus anywhere and there wasn;t a "configure" panel that came up after instalation either. Well, at least not for me. The version I'm downloading I've downloaded is 118.2150. Any suggestions? I'm kind of stuck at this first step.
hi guys,

what influences the modelling quality ? in the following test i have 2 years of 15 min broker data tested with just 47.69% modelling quality. when i look at the mismatched chart errors it does not seem to be the problem. any insight on this one ?

Hi
I am interested in MQL5 because of the reasons you mentioned before and of course the multi-thread function. But I wrote an EA in MQL4 and unfortunately can't convert it to MQL5. Is there any easy way to convert it?
I searched a lot and found some scripts which suppose to convert, but didn't.
