Someone yesterday posted a comment that STS Renko also freezes. I think that the problem is not with the Renko generator but probably with the CPU of your PC but more likely with the memory. Renko uses more CPU and memory than timeframe charts. Another issue is that there is a limitation on the number of charts that can be opened with MT4.

Check point-o-bars charts from OVO.
I recently started renko trading, and this is so far the best script I could find to operate in MT4.

But there is still a problem. I can't get more than 20 renko bars avery time I execute the scrip. That's making that some indicators do not plot properly, or do not plot at all.

Anyone experienced the same and know a solution?

I know this post is old but I did feel shocked that OVO indicator itself miscalculates!
I have been trading for years and traded OVO for few years.
Have not really noticed any renko miscalculation..
I randomly found your post and very disappointed.

Recently I have been using some EAs to trade on smaller box sizes after analyzing big box charts so I do not have to monitor smaller box size breakouts or trend continuation.
If I spot something, I will share a screenshot.

Did you find that issue still persists to date?

What do you mates think of the free KT Renko EA?

I have rented couple of MT5 Renko generators and they all froze on me and gave me poor performance.

I then tried KT for MT5 and found it is better than the commercial ones.

I used to backtest without any issue but have not yet traded on MT5 with this Renko generator.

My observation so far is that it is quite smooth and very light and no freezing issues or slowing performance.
I can not comment on any miscalculations as I have not forward tested it yet.

Iam keen on knowing your experience if any one has used it.

Thanks for the information, I have been trying out several Renko chart generators for MT5 but they were inadequate, I even rented a commercial one but my laptop OS is incompatible with it, the KT generator is just perfect.

Noticing the repainting comes with screen time, I have tried countless combinations of brick size and I find that it's not deliberate it's just the nature of offline or second hand streamed data, to lag and recalculate.
Even with the minor repainting you will still be profitable in the end unlike some other generators where you get signaled short or long while price action is doing the opposite of what you are trading off of.
I think it's a major concern for those of us that trade with indicators and not with bare charts like you.

Trade cautiously because the moving average crossover signal repaints if the move is not sustained.

hello all, im not sure if this has been answered, im trying to run my EA on renko on three different charts. i can set up and run the first chart no problem.
its been operating perfectly for 2 weeks on gb/us.
i then tried setting up an oil chart but the second i opened the offline chart, everything froze. I could not do anything and in the end had to uninstall mt4 and start again with a fresh download, luckily it was only on a demo. but i would like to have multiple renko charts on the live account.

someone said it might be the renko generator, is this right?

Can you post the Renko Generator for MT5, I have been searching for one all day and can't find it. Thanks!
