Must be billionaire speak. Suitably opaque and ambiguous, complete with a double negative? Not very precise about who it includes, really.

Anyway, the nature of the man is that he knows IB is in deep trouble on at least two outstanding legal issues, and wants out to avoid much bigger problems including a possible class action and adverse negative publicity about their penny pinching on some pretty basic coding.

IB will avoid if they splash a bit of cash around and it will all be forgotten. Personally, if I was the dude who lost 9 million, I wouldn't accept a sorry, oops, lets just rub it out and pretend it didn't happen. Go for the jugular.

I must say that I am am more confident in WTI now... Well sure no STRONG UP yet, but you know what... I'want ti to climb slowly... Usual if it rises/falls to fast, there are reversals/corrections and I do not like those... at least not for certain/main trading.... I think we might see a SING of RISE... Will be confirmed in LESS than a week.. Most probably..in first 2 days of next week... And then, we ENJOY the CLIMB? Slowly but steady for me please, so that I can afford considerable leverage by doing it... And also ATTACK in in parallel, cheetah style, as always, if/when opportunity presents itself...
Can you afford to take that chance?

feckless trading day. i think they are just moving it around to screw with retail traders. news caused a spike above the range and then a nice dip below range late in the session

the Daily Chart looks like a bullish pennant. almost all profits that I've made 3weeks ago were burned trying to trade the range. any idea when price may breakout from this range?
I seek not to tame the market, only to share a nice walk together with it..

just when you least expect it, it will bust out. News hasn’t been able to make it break north so I suspect a pull back first

I closed my short position as if it was supposed to go down, it would not come up again to go above 26.23 .
So according to Abonacci calculator levels, it can go up to 27.11.
So right @ 26.14 now I go long and TP=27.11 SL=25.30 .

{quote} Well yeah, in the bigger game/picture no, but I am looking for smaller timeframes also, at higher leverage... in parallel to long-term trading... Would I wanted more or even expected more at that entry? Yes... but I still consider it as a good entry, specially for short-term high-leverage spike... Also this part of the day are not the best, I prefer LON times... To get my views re-established on longer time frame, I think I will have to wait for about (less than) a week, to get some glimpse I hope... since pretty chaotic, still.. But if...

With some delay, but not that much, it went UP now... I hope it will stay at that trajectory now... I will re-deposit the TE, most likely, on TUE, should things (continue) to go well.. and will display it here (in the thread of mine).
Can you afford to take that chance?

Seek proper legal advice.

After digesting the contract you have with Gain, and the exact facts of the situation, clarification may be sought from Gain. What happens after that is how much you are prepared to spend on legals.

In the circumstances, should Gain cave in to any demand from your lawyer, Gain will probably attach a condition of confidentiality to any settlement.

I bet you are a happy camper now But I (at the current) strategy.. would trade daily on this one... just in case of some surprises.. So the idea that I am following atm is to trade (shave profits) many times vs just holding one.. But If I understand you bought really low on 21APR.. so for you it might be different I also think you might be in a very safe spot if you opened at lows of that days... The only thing are the possible high swaps that you are paying but they might be repaid with the rise right

I also hope/expect it to rise slowly... to enter/exit it daily or weekly tops (and do not think I would have positions longer than month even if they got stuck)...
But will see how it develops.. I will be very focused on MON, TUE in particular.. I hope we can get some GLIMPSE of the 6month future ahead by then ;D

I'm planing on posting LIVE TE soon, in my thread on the matter. Probably next week, should things continue to go well..
Can you afford to take that chance?

It sure looks like WTI is trying to break out from here. The volume levels are a little low so I wouldn't have a ton of confidence. Some critical levels being broken in the futures market. Be careful because there's still a lot of talk about these June contracts testing negative territory again.
