{quote} When time is right could see that being fairly solid play. Recently closed 1/4 of equity been building for awhile on sectors that could take another hit in event of another spx test >24. I really am not sure where the market is going now why im just holding cash for next day or so. I still believe >22xx is a decent buying zone with small portions long term but this is oh course is just general position assumptions and everyone buying/selling should take into account sector ect There is obviously opportunity with trend breaking on first spx...

That sounds about right to me. I’d be surprised if we don’t at least do a 22xx test in the next few weeks.

Trump mediating the situation between OPEC and Russia today was big. If oil goes back up we won’t have major oil players going bankrupt which clearly bodes well for equities.

{quote} Wish I wouldve just held /cl instead of making so many unnecessary exit/entries yesterday. I havent been touching many indicies recently, but monday was a sluggish break-even day, when it should've atleast had some yield to it. Curious what anyone is trading at the moment, you guys slowly making way back into equity like I am over course of this next year or so? Or just looking for more big opportunities at the moment?

Eh so sick, had orders at 19.xx closed for gc trades, made some nice swings but nothing on the gains off that.

I even said oil equity cant sustain itself, it must rise. /puke

Don't beat yourself up buddy oil demand is down by 30M worldwide so there will come opportunities in the near future. Look at what happens a few hours later this isn't looking bullish this is hope being suppressed by the market.

I think EURUSD 1.09360 is stiff resistance, a strong push down from here is possible but it's a good marker so quite bullish if we hold above.

I have a time line (intra) for EU to turn on the 4th so today Fri 3rd/Mon 6th is possible, support at 1.07862 bearish below imo

How do you track dollar strength? USDX, DXY or another product?

USDX and yeah mainly DXY

Although I should say that following DXY too closely has mainly only resulted in me overthinking my trades and selling too early/late.

Always comes full circle "X Indices are weighted to DXY, which are weighted to other currency pairing to the dollar, so even though X indices seems bound for correction, DXY is doing really well at the moment"

[full circle]

It all becomes redundant when you realize that if im trading off interest rates I should just be FX trading, not trading commodities/indices

I could think of several usecases:

Commodities mostly trade in US so if for example Gold is trading near resistance and dollar strength kicks in it could result in a trade with ahigher probability.
