Disliked{quote} Yeah that's Bloomberg terminal which I use along with Bloomberg proprietory indicator "Trender". Agree Powell speech today is hugely important.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Wow man! Tnx! Won't ask further about why/where you use it, glad you answered this one already, hope you didn't expose too much But would LOVE if you could share with us, could be in separate/dedicated thread... for example... "Trading tools for Energy markets".. you can open it or I can or anyone else I would seriously love to here your (not promo, but) traders perspective (pros/cons, comparison to other similar tools or just comparison vs some "standard" brokers tools)... about what is the very useful (edge) of using it...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks. I am not really a day trader but a slightly longer term trader, so I depend on many indicators, which I use for my trading. One of the other tools which I use to trade is "Brent-WTI Spread" (which I use like Oversold-Overbought). I am big on Ichimoku too but unfortunately it has not been really working well on crude in the recent past, so have been using Trender extensively for my trading. You will see on my charts, 3 lines of trender which are for 3 different time-frames. When all 3 lines are on the same side, It suggests strong...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Tnx man! I would love to have the Bloomberg terminal for my style of trading.. but it keeps me wondering how many useful things does it have... aside of "craig list" that I would love to check Usually when I introduced to many indicators outside of rather BASICS... It seemed good at first but then I was losing my edge because of it.. Missed some trades because some of the indicators said "NO"... I usually much prefer NAKED chart but SPREADS/VOLUME do help (orderbook was fools gold also, for me at least... happy at first)... apart of...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Many things are better in Bloomberg, but I think one's eyes are the best indicator on what's about to happen. Nothing beats that and for that one does not need Bloomberg. Even excel charts will do the job. Most Quotes from Stocks and Commodities are actually paid and 15 mins delayed and once needs to pay extra over and above the regular charge to get LIVE feed. Crypto and Forex are real-time even in regular feed.Ignored
DislikedSo did I understand that bloomberg charges a lot for the things one could get free elsewhere? Well I heard some "rumors" before of having FASTER access to news So share what you can pls... would love to hear more Or are you talking about BETTER prices... connected to some good broker?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Well, Bloomberg has a lot of things included. Only if you want Live stock and commodities prices from certain exchanges, they are chargeable seperately and that too is exchange fees and not Bloomberg fees.Ignored
DislikedHere is a heat map of Natural Gas, where in the last 6 years the moves have been limited. {image} Looking at the heatmap, one can initiate Long Iron Butterfly option spreads. Here are the trades. Sell At the Money Call and Put options at the same strike Buy Out of the money call and put at the same distance from the sold options. All 4 trades should have the same expiry This option strategy will protect users against huge volatility, while also eating away theta (time value) One can use this...Ignored
