FCA, Cysec brokers for me, scalping with small catch, preferably very low spreads with least slippage, and yes staying out of bugs/problems. what's your recommendation?

I agree to that. The sooner we learn and improve on our mistakes, the better it is. It takes very less time for our mistakes to become our habits.

That it is okay to bear losses at times. Learned how to smile even if I see my money going away, learned how to deal with losses and still be motivated to cover them up soon.

While the mind is still engrossed in the charts and markets only, I try making the body busy in other chores of life, spending time with family, doing what I like, visit places I have to, etc. etc.

Though it depends from trader to trader, different traders prefer using contrasting leverage while they trade. But I think for newbies, it is better to start it little low to tackle risk properly.
