Hi Tux, I did ask a question in post #46 but somehow you probably missed it. I asked if it was possible to do a similar tool for AWR (Average Weekly Range). Would appreciate a response. Regards.

Just in case anyone finds it useful as a condensed reference of DonPato main points.

A bit not clear. Anyone who understands this can assist to shed more light. Thanks.

This looks like a really classic textbook trade (with all the rules in place). When you say "Entry by hand", does that mean the EA didn't take this trade automatically? If so, I'd be curious to know why it wouldn't take such a good trade.

I think your English is perfect. I agree with your view and I believe JoeeF already has this in view for implementation in subsequent updates. A percentage risk (or $ risk) per trade calculated based on SL would be perfect.

I'd like to believe this trade was taken manually, right?

The lower band obviously has a step up, but looking at the upper band, it looks like it's stepping down. For a valid uptrend, are both bands not supposed to be stepping up?

Hi JoeeF, would you consider it in future updates to make the minimum RR a user-adjustable input? That way, users can choose the minimum RR they are willing to accept for valid trades. While, I personally prefer 1:1 minimum, I'd like to explore ...

Hi JoeeF, not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere or I, probably, missed it. I'm just curious - is there any particular advantage in using this XML framework for EA development and use rather than the conventional way it's always been? Pardon ...

In this instance, TP1 was outside bands. I think many former BTM users have said that the win rate goes up if TP1 is within the bands.

Red arrow shows the optimal entry. Risk < Reward. TP1 is within bands and SL is outside bands.

Very useful info. I guess it might be a good idea to just stick with TP1 then. Waiting for TP2 will either hit target or come back to exit at BE. Unfortunately, we do not have enough info to determine if there's any EDGE here in waiting for TP2. We ...

Unfortunately, in that particular example, due to the huge volatility candles, the risk/reward ratio is quite skewed to the downside (very big risk for very little reward). Is it possible to filter out this kind of scenario? I've not had much ...

I suppose it's because this is a trend continuation strategy, not a reversal one.

Great stuff pal. Mind coming up with a similar tool for AWR (average weekly range)? Thanks.
