Hi, I'd be really interested to know your thoughts on trading Brent/WTI correlations. Have you tried it? Had any success with it. I've been hearing a lot about it recently and wondering whether to try it myself?

I find that my trading is at its best when it's dull and mechanical. If things get "exciting" - chances are that I'm not following my rules properly, or I've been staking too high. If you want a thrill-a-minute job, then I'd advise looking elsewhere!

Using RSI for overbought/oversold signals is very unreliable in a trending market. This is another way to use it ( url ) that I find works better for me.

I'm in the UK and have just started using binary bets (not sure that these are available elsewhere). They're not suitable for all trades, but for certain circumstances, they mean that you can hold a position without worrying about getting a stop ...

I have a bit of a love-hate thing with RSI - overbought and oversold readings can be badly wrong in a trending market. But have been getting some good results using RSI recently with a new strategy. Even then though - I have to watch out for trends.

I'm all for mechanical systems that take the emotion out of trading, but robots – no! Any EA needs to be monitored, and people flogging robots that'll do it all for you should be given a wide berth.

I downloaded a really simple trading journal spreadsheet from the Trader's Bulletin website. It's basic, but might be a good place to start.
