It happens every year that London changes before NY. Yes, a coming Auto_Sessions update will fix it.

Yep! Just bewares of those 1-3 week periods in between London changing and NY changing. I use this awesome awesome (that's a double) site, timeanddate.com/time/change/usa/new-city?year=2021 timmeanddate.com/time/change/uk/london?year=2021

(1) You might be using one of the unusual brokers that doesn't change their GMT offset with daylight savings. Here is some research I did. Most brokers change their offset to stay synchronized with either London or NY. But a few don't ever change ...

Hi Egbert! Broker time is compared with Eastern time. (The indicator doesn't use the computer's time).

That article contains some correct insights and also some literal nonsense.

Hi Erebus, Yes, I meant to say "always two hours before Tokyo" -- which is true 365. Two posts down, I agreed that the Market page needs to be changed (which incorrectly shows Tokyo beginning three hours after NY close), and I have notified FF about ...

Hi Shane, Would it work to add mutiple copies of that indicator, each for a different session?
- MikeDNC replied Apr 2, 2020
Yes indeed -- I can't find out any last-minute Japan Forex hours-changes for sure, but they've always opened 30 minutes ago -- at 1900 Eastern local. I've contacted FF about this.

(Might ya mean this gadget?) url No, Tokyo always begins upon the NY close, and Sydney always begins two hours after Tokyo begins. (365 days a year -- so to speak). Brilliant idea; that will be included!

Hi everyone, There are probably no more updates for a while, so I thought it would be nice to release the latest version. Auto_Sessions v2.91: - Removed the unintended comment in the Color4 parameter. - Indicator automatically does not show anymore ...

For users of the Auto_Sessions indicator, daylight savings in Eastern just began on Sunday, but it will begin in Europe in 3 weeks. Almost all brokers have correctly adjusted their server time to keep in sync with Eastern. However, a couple of ...

Hi fxbarwise, I don't yet use MT5, but it should be pretty easy to convert it -- just changing the name of the .mq4 file to .mq5; opening it in "metaeditor.exe"; and getting it to compile. While in metaeditor, press F1 to view/download the help ...

Hi baraka! Greetings from Texas. No matter what one's local time is, simply check the current Eastern time, at that link in the top of the parameters ( url ). Then check the server/broker time. If the server is later by 1 hour, then set the ...

So the boxes are all going infinitely to the right. (I have never seen this before; this is concerning). Is it MT4 (not MT5); and what version? What happens if the timeframe is switched then switched back? Does this always happen?

Hi Thabzah, Good! FF didn't send me a notification, but I also would have asked about the purpose of these boxes. Glad ya figured it out; that's always fun. Hey drayzen, Yes, I can see how seeing the absolute change, in addition to the pips, might ...

That is a really nifty possibility . I just can't find a way to make it satisfyingly consistent with everything else, with nothing misleading to the eyes. The best I can see is to have a vertical line always (even if sessions are 'Filled'), ...

Can't find it. Is there a link?

I think so, too! Very clean look. Implemented, below. Auto_Sessions v2.9: - New input: "PipsWord", which allows to show or hide " pips" after the pips. - " pips" will be singular, " pip", when the number is <=1 . Note: The default colors are ...

That's a cool idea. I'm not sure how many other users would use this feature, so it kind of feels beyond the scope of this particular indicator. I'm sure ya could hire an indicator/MQL programmer who'd be happy to code that up.

- I take a screenshot of every trade, including "close maybes" and some setups that should not be taken. I review these before each week begins. While I'm reviewing, I'm automatically becoming familiar with what a good trade looks like and what a ...
