We will see it but it may take a number of months, if Middle East tensions crop up again maybe more.

Did you trade it?

Here is a question that I always ask myself in the energy markets when looking at WTI and Nat Gas: If you have to buy one and short one which would be which? The answer to that question can lead me to many things - take one long position, take one ...

The retracement in oil that I've been watching has been strong lately. I think we get to at least the 61.8 level before turning back around. This is why patience is so valuable: url

I think this has a lot to do with where prices have headed lately. As soon as the weather starts to change you can expect Nat Gas to move suddenly in response to updated forecasts. There were a few years recently where forecasts would change ...

Yes, we were right after all. Who else took some profits recently?

I think that move was on inventory levels. I don’t see the trend continuing though.

I don't think it is unreasonable to think we could touch 50 in the near future. P.S. it looks like you have quite the arsenal of bear pictures. I hope you can channel the oil market with them!

I am always reminded why natural gas is not the place to cut your teeth in trading but that is all the more reason to climb that mountain. I'm glad I am not the only one fighting the fight right now though DonPato. Good luck to you sir.

Ok, I'll target November to experiment first hand with the system. Personally I think Brexit and US trade tensions will linger like a dark cloud but hopefully we do have some clarity soon.

25% annual return right? Sounds good to me. Would you be shooting for a certain return quarterly or monthly or just comparing YTD to 25% run rate? Posting the WTI parameter if possible would help a lot in following the system. You mentioned it is a ...

Detector, did you take that position as a hedge, speculation that Brexit experiences more delay/uncertainty or something else entirely? I don't usually trade gold and I am not willing to commit to a medium or long term bull market until it rises ...

Just in time for Halloween.

Based on my experience weather patterns in the NE have much greater impact on nat gas prices generally speaking. If I remember correctly it has to do with the distribution network and how particular areas deal with peak demand in combination with ...

Thanks for the observation, I do think that shorts cashing out may help turn price upward again. You are also right about how unseasonably cold weather would affect prices. This is why several of us have been waiting for spikes higher, most winters ...

Personally I don't see oil retracing upward like I thought it would earlier. It seems ready for a leg lower now.

Don't get into that mindset! I know it can feel like that sometimes but you have to trust your analysis until you know better.
